GenoPro: New genogram/family tree software useful for veterinarians

Penn Libraries now has a site license to GenoPro, genealogy software that produces family trees using genograms. The program is suitable for genealogists, veterinarians, health professionals, researchers, social workers, and psychologists. More information about the software can be found here: http://www.genopro.com/essential-features/genopro

Special features that make the program suitable for veterinary research include the ability to show multiple litters and to set customizable data fields. These user-defined fields can be used to store information about genetic traits or diseases, for example.

The software is installed on library computers at the School of Veterinary Medicine.  Students, faculty and staff members from the University of Pennsylvania may download this version of GenoPro on- or off-campus for educational or personal projects, such as genealogy: search FindIt for GenoPro or use this link:   http://hdl.library.upenn.edu/1017/107362

For questions about installing and using the software, please see http://www.genopro.com/help/

NOTE: GenoPro is only available on the Windows platform. Instructions for use on Mac can be found here: http://www.genopro.com/faq/is-there-a-macintosh-version-of-genopro.aspx.
